Meeting overlay for Windows

Your own notes, right when the meeting needs them.

Bee is a small notch at the top centre of your screen. It listens to the meeting, finds the notes that matter and shows one or two short tips. What people say never appears on screen.

A schematic of Bee during a call: the notch at the top centre, opened to show two tips and the note they came from.

How it works

Listen, find, rank, tip.

Someone says “last time we discussed the Acme renewal”. Bee hears it, finds your Acme notes and puts a short tip at the top of the screen. Every phrase runs the same four steps.

  1. 01

    Listen

Click the mic on the notch. Bee cuts speech into short phrases and transcribes each one. The words stay off screen.

    Grok STT
  2. 02

    Find

Each phrase searches your notes folder of plain markdown files. Keyword search picks the top five snippets.

  3. 03

    Rank

Jev scores each snippet against the recent conversation and puts the best first. If ranking fails, Bee keeps the original order.

  4. 04

    Tip

GPT-6 Luna reads the top three notes and writes up to two short tips. The first one also shows in the collapsed notch.

Direct questions get direct answers

When someone asks a question, the tip answers it from your notes or from general knowledge.

  • “when does SSO ship?”
  • “what’s 15% of 18,000?”

Meeting mode

Meeting mode hides Bee from screen sharing and keeps it above full-screen apps. You can present without Bee showing up in the share.

End of meeting

One click, one summary.

Click End meeting & save summary. Bee writes a markdown file into your notes folder, so next week it finds this meeting like any other note.

  • Decisions made in the meeting.
  • Action items, with the owner first when one is named.
  • Topics covered, and the notes cited in tips.
  • Never lost. If the AI call fails, Bee saves a plain summary with the meeting lines instead.

Teams mode · optional

The whole conversation, not just your side.

Teammates in the same Microsoft Teams meeting can pool what they say. Each Bee then sees the whole conversation and writes a speaker-labelled summary.

  • Bee never joins the call. No Teams bot, no Teams local API, no Microsoft Graph or calendar access.
  • Nothing joins automatically. When a meeting starts, Bee offers a sync to join. You always click.
  • You control sharing. Your phrases go to the sync only while the Bee mic is on and sharing is not paused.

Teams mode needs a relay you deploy yourself on Convex. Without it, Bee works solo.

Privacy

Your notes stay plain files on your machine.

Bee reads a folder of markdown files and writes summaries back to it. To transcribe, rank and write tips, it sends phrases and note snippets to Vercel AI Gateway with your own key.

Local markdown notes

Notes live in a normal folder, %APPDATA%\Bee\notes on Windows. Edit them in any editor; Bee picks up changes on the next line.

Words stay off screen

Bee never shows what was said. Only tips and matched notes appear.

Encrypted key

Your AI Gateway key is encrypted with OS storage: DPAPI on Windows, Keychain on macOS. The interface never sees it.

Sign-in with Clerk

Bee runs guidance only when you are signed in to your Bee account.

Open source

The whole app is on GitHub under the MIT licence. Read it, build it, change it.

Windows first

An installer for Windows 10 and 11 (x64). macOS support is planned.

Bring your notes to the next meeting.

Needs a Vercel AI Gateway key and a Bee account. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn on first run.
